MakeStamp creates design files for business and document workflows. It does not certify official, legal, notary, medical, government, or school use. Check local requirements before using any stamp on official documents.

Plan the information before you design

Begin with the exact company name you are authorized to use. Add an address, department, role, or custom identifier only when it helps the recipient understand the document or internal process. Keep the wording short enough to read at the final size. A stamp crowded with phone numbers, slogans, and several identifiers is often harder to use than a simple mark with a clear name.

MakeStamp lets you add separate text elements and change their position, size, color, and rotation. Labels such as “Registration ID” or “Tax ID” are user-defined text; the editor does not check whether a number is correct or whether a particular detail is required. Confirm required wording with the organization that will receive the document.

Pick a layout that fits the content

A round layout can give a short company name and a brief outer label a clear visual hierarchy. A square or rectangular layout gives multiline names, addresses, and logos more room. There is no universally correct shape: choose based on the available space in the document and how the mark will be viewed. Start with the sample company layout, or open Templates to compare the square monogram and other starting points.

After selecting a starting layout, replace the sample wording and inspect every line at the intended display size. Keep enough spacing around a logo so it does not compete with the company name. High contrast helps the downloaded image remain legible on light document backgrounds. The preview is a design aid; it does not approve the stamp for a particular institution or jurisdiction.

Export a digital file for your document

PNG, JPG, and SVG downloads are available. PNG is a practical image choice for placing a stamp in a document or presentation. JPG is a raster image format for workflows that accept a regular image on a solid background. SVG keeps vector artwork scalable in compatible software. Check the target application’s import support, then open the exported file once to confirm the text, logo, colors, and edges look as intended.

Company text and uploaded images are saved with the draft in this browser when saving is available. They are not synced to another device. Download a copy you need to keep; the export is a design file, not an order for a physical rubber stamp. For a broader walkthrough, see how to make a business stamp.

A design file is not an official seal

MakeStamp is for creating original digital designs for your own business materials and permitted workflows. It does not verify that you represent a company, grant permission to use a logo, or certify legal, notary, medical, government, or school seals. Do not use another organization’s identity in a way that suggests approval. Before placing a stamp on a formal document, check the requirements with the relevant organization.
